FAQ

Are Parchment and Pawprint treats organic/gluten free/vegan/allergen free?

We do our very best to use organic ingredients whenever possible. While not all ingredients are readily available in organic form, you can be assured that we use the very best quality ingredients we can source.

We know that your dogs, like ours, are family (and we love meeting them at the market!). We are committed to using wholesome ingredients. Commercially produced gluten free flour typically includes gums and other ingredients to help it better mimic all purpose flour. Carob chips typically include palm oils and refined sugar. None of this works very well for our doggo friends so we house blend our flour so as to avoid anything other than actual flour and we make our carob chips from three simple ingredients, cutting out the palm oil and refined sugar. We also scratch make our maple marshmallows (no corn syrup allowed in those fluffy morsels!).

We primarily use Bob's Red Mill gluten free flours. However, our treats are not made in a gluten free kitchen and traces may be present even when gluten free ingredients are used.

We typically do not work with meat as an ingredient, but some of our treats contain eggs, gelatin, or dairy such as yogurt. We do make some limited ingredient treats and you can find them in our Limited Ingredient Collection (more treats coming soon).

We stay away from ingredients that are generally known to be problematic for a dogs' digestion such as corn and wheat. However, we do bake in a kitchen that is not strictly free of these ingredients or common allergens such as nuts, peanuts, eggs, milk, and gluten. Some of these are not so much an issue with dogs, but could be for you and/or the others your dog smooches.

After talking with so many of you at the market, we learned that every dog is different and they all have different food tastes, tolerances, and sensitivities. It is best to take it slow when introducing new foods and check with your vet if you have any concerns.

Please see individual treat ingredient lists to make sure the treat will play nice with your furry friend. Most dogs have no issues with the ingredients we use, but we honestly won't be offended at all if your dog can't enjoy our treats. Healthy and happy is most important!

PRE-ORDERS

Do I need to pre-order?

We open pre-orders for certain busier dates at the summer market and our winter/holiday date. Check back here periodically or watch Instagram and Facebook for updates. Pre-orders help us plan, but are not always necessary. On market or event days, we have treats above and beyond any pre-orders available for purchase. Come see us! We'd love to say hello!

How far in advance should I pre-order?

We begin our production three or four days in advance of our market, event, or treat drop days. Pre-orders typically close a few days prior to those dates.

How does pre-order work?

When pre-orders open on this website, you will be able to shop for treats. Pre-orders will typically open a few days to a week prior to an event (or treat drop day or market day). Pre-orders will be available for pick up at the event during the event hours posted to this site and our social channels. Your order will be pre-packed in a bag with your name on it. Just let let us know when you arrive.

Can I pick up treats on a day that is not a market day or treat drop?

At this point, we have set bake days and are only making treats for pickup and sale at our events, market days, or treat drops. We may have some local delivery soon so please sign up for our email list (sign up at the bottom of this page) and follow us on Instagram or Facebook to keep in touch!

Can I change or cancel my pre-order?

If you need to change or cancel your pre-order please contact us as soon as possible. Orders cancelled up to a day before the pickup date can typically be fully refunded. If it is less than a day before pickup, production is already in progress. Please reach out and we will do our best to accommodate any changes.
